How much can we grow thin ??

An important index of our body structure is the circumference of the wrist.
There are 3 categories ( women )
- Long-limbed stature ( circumference within 14 cm.)
- Normal stature ( 14-18 cm circumference.)
- Short-stature ( circumference over 18 cm.)
2 persons of the same height, but with a different wrist’ s  circumference can reach a  different  ideal theoretical weight.  This is  much closer to reality than that of the BMI.
The formula ( for women ) is:
-  Wrist within 14 cm.
ideal weight = 68 x height  (m.) – 61
-  Wrist 14 -18 cm.
Ideal weight = 68 x height  (m.)- 58
-  Wrist over 18 cm.
Ideal weight = 68 x height  (m.) – 51.5
As you can notice,  between  a long-stature person and a short-stature person, both having  the same height ,the difference can reach 9.5 Kg.
The right mode to measure the  wrist’ s  circumference :
The subject  stand-up ,  straight forearm,  with the hand’ s palm  to top. The musculature is relaxed.
The measurement place is  under  the radio’ s  and ulna’s styloid processes  , no compress the soft tissues ( see the pfoto ).
For determine the morphology  type we can also use the formula :
morphology = height (cm.)/wrist circumference (cm.)
They result the same  typologies( for women ):
a) more of 10.9 = long-limbed structure
b) 9, 9- 10.9 =  normal structure
c) less than 9.9 = short-statured
So that before establishing the objectives of loss of weight it must consider our limits.
